New exhibit at History Center
We are pleased to present a new Archival Emporium exhibit, Just Married, Best Wishes.  This exhibition,  featuring a grand assortment of vintage wedding gowns, was created and designed by BCHS volunteers.

Beltrami County History Conference

The Beltrami County Historical Society is hosting “Northern Minnesota’s Myths and Mysteries” history conference from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 17 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji. The conference includes two keynote speakers, ten breakout presentations and lunch catered by Raphael’s Bakery. Advance purchace of tickets, available at the History Center, M-Sat., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., are $30 for BCHS members/seniors 62/better, $35 general public and $40 at the door. On May 11, 1858 Minnesota became the 32nd state admitted into the union – so 50 years later in 1908, what did statehood mean to residents of Beltrami county, or the Centennial milestone of 100 years in 1958?
