Exhibits
Drawing from the 105,000 plus artifacts and manuscripts, exhibits are developed and installed in the 2,500 square foot section of our restored Depot building, consisting of four different exhibit galleries. A permanent exhibit is set up featuring the restoration of the original Ticket Booth and Telegraphy office of the Great Northern Depot, while the other three exhibits rotate on a yearly and tri-yearly basis.
Part of the exhibit in the Telegraphy office has been provided by the Northern Iron Horse Railroad society. The Society developed and built an exhibit based on railroad history of the early 1900s.
Research
The BCHS staff provides research assistance by viewing the inventory of catalogued data. County history can be explored in newspapers on microfilm, census reports, naturalization data on microfilm, genealogy data, photographs, and many other types of manuscripts. Non-members pay a fee of $15 per each hour of research assistance. Members, who pay an annual fee, can obtain research assistance free of charge.
Museum Gift Shop
The Depot Gift Shop features merchandise for sale with an emphasis on Beltrami County history, including a number of books by local authors. Members receive a 10% discount on all merchandise at the Gift Shop.
