Historic Bemidji High School Sports Films Program

Join the Beltrami County Historical Society for a special screening of newly digitized Bemidji High School sports films from 1947–1985. This program celebrates the completion of our Historical Sports Films Digitization Project, which preserved 71 reels of historic football, hockey, and other athletic footage believed to have been filmed by the BHS AV Club.

Local sports broadcaster Joel Hoover will emcee the event, guiding the audience through selected clips with commentary, stories, and highlights from decades of Lumberjack athletics.

Admission is free-will donation, with all proceeds supporting the Historical Society’s preservation work.A 6-DVD set featuring all digitized films will be available for purchase for $10.

This event offers a chance to revisit unforgettable moments in Bemidji sports history, reconnect with teammates and community members, and see long-lost footage preserved for future generations.
