About the event

Join us for Women Elected to Lead: Voices from Local Government, a free panel discussion highlighting the experiences and insights of women who have served in elected office in our region.

Panelists include former Bemidji mayor Rita Albrecht, current City Council member Gwenia Fiskevold-Gould, and Elaine Fleming, the first female mayor of Cass Lake. Together, they will reflect on the challenges and triumphs of public service and the importance of representation in civic life.

The conversation will be moderated by local historian Lois Jenkins, who will also share stories of early female leaders from Beltrami County's past.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required—just come ready to learn, reflect, and be inspired!
