About the event

Beltrami County Historical Society is proud to announce its upcoming Brown Bag History program featuring renowned music educator Terry Bradley. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 18th, at noon, hosted at the Beltrami County History Center located at 130 Minnesota Ave. SW, downtown Bemidji.

Terry Bradley, a distinguished retired music educator residing in Bemidji with his wife, Linda, boasts an illustrious career spanning 35 years in education and 20 years as a National Guard Bandsman. With degrees in music education from Minot State University and Bemidji State University, supplemented by additional graduate studies at UW-Madison, Terry has honed his expertise to become a prominent figure in music education.

His dedication to his craft is evident through his extensive training under luminaries such as Frederick Fennell, H. Robert Reynolds, Allan McMurray, Eugene Corporon, Frank Dubuy, and James Smith. With over 45 years of experience as a band adjudicator and having conducted bands in 14 states and 4 countries, Terry Bradley brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the discussion.

During the event, Terry will delve into his rich experiences, focusing on his life in the military and school marching bands. This promises to be an engaging journey through the music world, filled with anecdotes, insights, and fond memories. Brown Bag History extends a warm invitation to all, especially Terry's former students, bandmates, and enthusiasts of marching bands, to join us for this special occasion.
