About the event
The Historical Society is honored to host a screening of Lakeland Public Television’s new segment Common Ground: Captain John Wheeler. Captain Wheeler was a decorated war hero who was a Prisoner of War in the Philippines and perished while imprisoned on a hell ship. This segment honors his exceptional life as a Minnesotan and decorated career soldier.
