About the event
Folks ages 12 and older are invited to attend this workshop to learn how Pysanky, the art of Ukrainian egg decorating. The oldest pysanky found date from the late 1600s! Ukrainians have lived in Minnesota since the late 1800s and brought their beautiful craft for us to learn at this workshop hosted by artist Mary Morton.
This program is FREE, but registration for all participants is required and is limited to 10 persons. All supplies are provided. Egg decorating kits and Mary's own art will be available for purchase in the museum gift shop ahead of and after the workshop.
This activity is funded by a grant from the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council with funding from the Minnesota State Legislature's general fund.
